The Vision
A Movement, Not a Program.
Near Nations exists to reach diaspora communities from closed, persecuted nations, while they live in the freedom of Australia.
“Every diaspora community in Australia represents a seed, a potential future church planter in one of the world's most closed nations.”
God has orchestrated one of the greatest mission opportunities in Australian history. Hundreds of thousands of people from Afghanistan, Iran, Somalia, Iraq and dozens of other closed nations are living in our cities. For the first time in their lives, they can hear the gospel freely: legally, safely, without fear of death.
Near Nations exists to meet that moment. We believe that reaching these communities is not just an Australian mission opportunity. It is a global one. Every disciple made in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane carries the potential to return to their home country and plant a church where no church has ever existed.
The Multiplication
The 7×7×7 Vision
One discipleship relationship can catalyse a church-planting movement in one of the world's most closed nations.
One Disciple Reaches Seven
A single believer, equipped and supported, shares the gospel with seven people from their community.
Each of Seven Reaches Seven More
Each new believer repeats the pattern. Forty-nine disciples across communities in Australia and beyond.
Each Returns to Plant Seven Churches
Returnees carry the gospel home. Three hundred and forty-three churches planted in nations where the church has never existed.
The Vision
Near Nations is not a program. It is a movement.
“Every diaspora community in Australia represents a seed, a potential future church planter in one of the world's most closed nations.”
